About

Josh Winegar is an artist and educator who takes a broad-based approach to the medium of photography. He is interested in the processes of image making and its connection to meaning and photographic truth. His work often explores our uncomfortable relationship with nature, each other, or ourselves. He is deeply committed to art and educating and enjoys being creative in the studio, classroom, and in the world.

Other interests beyond art are snowboarding, mountain biking, modern architecture, making experimental noise music, and spending large sections of time traveling and living in his car.
