Our mission is to provide personal financial services of a superior quality to the members/owners; our chief concern being their financial well-being.
Ogden Civic Action Network
Ogden Civic Action Network (OgdenCAN) is a coalition of anchor institutions, community partners, and neighbors committed to improving the health and well-being of our community.
Our Hyper-Local Commitment: The East Central Neighborhood
OgdenCAN is Weber State University's place-based initiative, with our deepest focus in Ogden’s East Central Neighborhood. Here, we support local leadership, convene and strengthen neighborhood networks, and invest in community interventions that improve health and opportunity. By investing deeply at the neighborhood level, we help inform and strengthen grass root community efforts in East Central and beyond.
While our work is grounded in East Central, it is connected to the broader Ogden-Weber community. In partnership with residents and organizations such as the United Partnership Council (UPC) and Weber-Morgan Health Department, OgdenCAN cultivates collaborative networks focused on five Community Pillars of Health: lifelong learning, vibrant economy, safe and strong neighborhoods, community connection, and healthy lifestyles.

Mission
Vision
The Anchor Mission Approach
Weber State University is part of a growing national movement focused on Anchor Mission work. Across the country, universities, hospitals, and other major institutions recognize their deep responsibility to the communities where they are rooted. As an Anchor Mission–focused university, WSU directs its resources and partnerships toward regional economic impact and place-based initiatives—such as OgdenCAN—that strengthen the communities where we are anchored. OgdenCAN is also part of the Anchor Learning Network, a group of more than 50 universities committed to advancing their role as community anchors.
By aligning university and anchor institution resources with local partners, neighbors, and community-identified priorities, OgdenCAN advances coordinated, scalable approaches to improving community health and opportunity.
