Maria Schwarz is the Food Equity Program Manager for Salt Lake City's Sustainability Department. She has a professional background in food systems research, urban agriculture, landscape design, program development, and environmental education from serving both in nonprofit organizations and in local government. She holds a master's degree in public administration from the University of Utah and bachelor's degrees in anthropology and international studies from Linfield College in Oregon. She grew up in Utah and enjoys all the outdoor activities the state offers with her partner, daughter, and dog.
