BioGarth Shaw, AIA, LEED® AP, is the Director of Sustainability at GSBS Architects where he has been since 1997. Beginning with his work to certify the Utah Olympic Speed Skating Oval as one of the very first LEED projects in the nation, Garth has guided efforts to successfully certify more than 30 LEED projects. As a firm-leader, Garth focuses on leveraging GSBS’ immense experience and skills in sustainability to enhance project visions, not to dictate them. His current work includes development of sustainable building standards for ski industry clients and the planning and design of multiple all-electric and Net-Zero Carbon projects. Garth is also securing final WELL and LEED certifications for GSBS’ Salt Lake City office.
