Welcome Message from Daniel Kilcrease, Director of Housing & Res Life

It is my privilege to welcome you to Weber State University (WSU) Housing & Residence Life. The experience of living on-campus will last a lifetime.

I personally lived on-campus for my entire undergraduate experience. Some of the friendships I made, are strong to this day and the memories I made will last a lifetime. I have worked in student housing my entire professional career and have served at Weber State in my current role since 2002.

Living on-campus is a great transition for young adults. It affords the independence of living on their own with no curfew and the freedom to make their own decisions. With the comfort of knowing that it is a student community with limited access doors and some accountability (no alcohol, drugs). Student and professional staff that are there to provide support and activities.

I personally served as a Resident Assistant (RA) when I was in college. Our RA’s at WSU are amazing, supportive and are experienced Wildcats. We also have professional staff members that live on-campus to support students 24 hours a day.

We’re excited for you (or your student) to be living with us. With the best environment available your student will excel at Weber State University.

Daniel Kilcrease, Ed.D.
Director of Housing & Residence Life

Meet the Team

The Weber State Housing & Residence Life Team consists of a Director, an Assistant Director, Business Manager, Office Manager, 2 Area Coordinators (each coordinator that oversees their respective village: RA staff and community programming and student conduct). In addition each coordinator has additional duties that encompass Marketing/ Assignments and Residence Life Education/ Training for the RA, Peer Mentor and RHA programs. Each village has (1) SRA and (15) RA’s/ Peer mentors as needed for that academic year. To support the function of the office, each village consist of a student staff of office assistants who keep the office available for residents/ prospective residents from 8am to 6pm, M-F. In order to keep opportunities available for student leaders, we also have internships offered in the areas of operations, marketing and summer conferencing. Lastly we have a custodial team that maintain the community areas clean during working hours from M-F.
