As an executive director, she coordinates the operational support for Division of Online & Continuing Education (DOCE) programs and services. Lynette's role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of DOCE's programs and services, which are supported by a team of experts in various areas. These areas include finance, registration, IT support, building support for DOCE centers, course setup, payroll for instructional wages, reporting, software development and state authorization.

While Lynette's career path was not predestined, she took to it naturally. Her experience in leadership roles and passion for helping others succeed made her current role a perfect fit. Her proudest accomplishment is helping others reach success in their professional endeavors.

Lynette has a master's degree in healthcare administration and a bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in military leadership and an emphasis in organizational behavior. She is also a certified operations manager through the Learning Resources Network (LERN). Her previous roles include serving as director of operations for Avatar, an organization that provided living support for special needs adults, and serving as an engineer officer in the U.S. Army, where she served in the Utah National Guard.

Lynette's biggest challenge in her current role is keeping track of all the balls that are in the air or that should be in the air. However, this challenge is also what drives her to be organized, detail-oriented and focused on achieving excellence in all areas of DOCE's operations.

The best part of Lynette's job is the opportunity to work with a lot of people, providing support and creating processes and procedures. Lynette takes pride in the fact that her team's work enables DOCE's programs and services to run smoothly, making education accessible to people who might not otherwise have access. Her passion for supporting others, combined with her expertise and experience, make her an invaluable asset to DOCE's leadership team.
