Semester-Based Online

Through campus partnerships, the Division of Online & Continuing Education can provide asynchronous online education to students who desire the freedom of no meeting times but need the structure of regular due dates.

Through working together, WSU and your department can create fully online programs to meet students’ needs.

Benefits

For Your Students

As access is one of our core themes, fully online courses provide access to students who may have barriers to attending class on campus.

Many WSU students work part time, and online education allows them to attend while juggling other obligations.

Students can still hold themselves accountable thanks to regular due dates.

For Your Department

Once you launch a fully online academic program with the DOCE, your department can benefit from a revenue share, which can be used for departmental equipment, professional development and more.

We can provide you with extensive support including course setup and in-house marketing.

Through more online offerings, WSU can better live up to its commitment to access.

“My experiences were positive because they [the DOCE] recognized that I was the content expert in my discipline. That allowed us to work collaboratively to achieve my vision for a curriculum in fully online or hybrid pedagogy.”
