At Weber State University, the interior design program gives students the opportunity to foster creativity while also providing current technical background needed to be competitive in the design industry.
Accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) and National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), students are taught to enhance the quality and function of interior spaces while protecting the health, safety and welfare of the public.
In this program, students learn concepts of residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and kitchen and bath design. The standards-based curriculum is enhanced with practical experience, internships, service learning, studio courses, field trips and study abroad experiences.
The design program also offers a unique emphasis in Professional Selling within the design curriculum, preparing students with exceptional presentation and technical sales skills as they enter the workforce.
The program features online as well as live lecture courses. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to enter a design-build network of professions within the design industry as well as be familiar with exam content of professional licensure and certification such as NCIDQ and LEED GA exams.
