Jannah Faumuina is originally from Makakilo, Hawaii and graduated from Brigham Young University - Hawaii in 2011 with a Bachelor of Social Work degree. She moved to Utah with intentions to work with a different population group other than Pacific Islanders. In her quest she obtained an internship as a Substance Abuse Case Manager in Ogden, Utah. During her internship she grew to love the people here in Utah and decided to learn more about this state and its diverse programs that it has to offer to the under-represented population.
She enjoys working alongside all the different outreach groups because it allows her to gain a better insight of how she can make a better contribution to society. Jannah is currently in the process of furthering her education by going to graduate school and getting a master's degree in social work.
