Thousands of graduates to celebrate earning degree from WSU

OGDEN, Utah — Weber State University will honor more than 2,460 students during its convocation ceremonies on Dec. 12.

The ceremonies will recognize graduates from this year’s summer and fall semesters, awarding credentials ranging from certificates to associate’s, bachelor’s, and postgraduate degrees.

“These graduates are entering a new year with the greatest gift they could give themselves: knowledge, expertise, and confidence,” said WSU Interim President Leslie Durham. “I’m so proud of what they’ve accomplished during their time at Weber State, and I’ll continue to celebrate their success as they take what they’ve learned into the community.”A large group of graduates in purple caps and gowns gather closely together, with one smiling graduate raising her hand above the crowd.

The fall’s most-awarded degrees include nursing, health sciences, diagnostic medical sonography, and computer science.

Each college will hold individual ceremonies throughout the day, starting at 9 a.m. at the Val A. Browning Center. Visit the commencement website for exact times and locations.

Tickets for the ceremonies are not required and parking is free, but seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For directions to Weber State University and other building locations, see the Graduation Office website

All ceremonies will be live streamed on the commencement website

Graduates who need special accommodations should contact Disability Services at 801-626-6413. American Sign Language interpreters and live captioning will be available for all events at the Dee Events Center and Val A. Browning Center.
