Government Relations
Under the direct supervision of President Brad Mortensen, the Office of Government Relations serves as the liaison to officials and agencies of the U.S. government, State of Utah, City of Ogden as well as Box Elder, Weber, Morgan, and Davis Counties.
The Office coordinates governmental policy development within Weber State University and works to promote the University as a resource to government officials as one means of fulfilling the University's societal obligations as a tax exempt organization. The WSU Government Relations also represents the University to membership organizations, associations, consortia, and alliances with whom Weber State University has common interests.

Chris Millard is assigned to attend the Utah State Legislative Session each year, representing the
University concerning issues of higher education. These issues are defined by President Chuck
Wight and Vice President Brad Mortensen.
