Program Details

Students will gain a well-rounded understanding of health care in Ghana. They will be able to compare and contrast the health care system with that of the U.S. Students. They will learn about the Ghana national Health Insurance scheme, cost, coverage, etc. The learning outcome of the Ghana Study Abroad Trip will assist students in clinics, providing basic assessments and community health education, giving education to nursing and midwifery students. Many opportunities will be available for students to work in these environments as health care providers, learning side by side with local practitioners.
