This study abroad program to the incredible country of Costa Rica combines intensive Spanish language study with unforgettable adventures to world-renowned touristic and ecological destinations. Participants will be totally immersed in a Spanish speaking culture, living with Costa Rican host families, and taking Spanish courses from a well established language institute: the ILISA Spanish School. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the important role ecotourism plays in the country by actively participating in various field experiences to culturally and ecologically rich destinations, such as magnificent national parks, whitewater rivers, beaches, waterfalls, museums, art galleries, open street markets, nature centers and parks.
