PRESIDENT
Kira Tadehara
kiratadehara@mail.weber.edu

Social Work isnt about seeing the cup half empty or half full, it's about recognizing that the cup can be refilled.  It is also about recognizing that there might be barriers to refilling it!  I am super pleased to be this year's club President and am even more pleased that I get to work with such awesome people.  A pun master by nature,  I love to annoy those around me with paper jokes.  Truly tear-able, Ha Ha, Get it?  I strive to be a better Social Worker, friend, and intersectional feminist every day.

VICE PRESIDENT
Josie Chambers
josiechambers@mail.weber.edu

My name is Josie Chambers, I began my journey here at Weber State in 2016 hoping to become a Radiology Technician. Since starting at Weber I got married, bought a house, adopted a dog and a cat, and changed my major.  I quickly fell in love with the idea that I could help individuals through Social Work.  After I graduate from Weber State I plan on attending Graduate School to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  Serving people is my passion and I am so excited to be a part of the Social Work Club my senior year at Weber State.  "How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment to improve the world." - Anne Frank

PHI ALPHA VICE PRESIDENT
Andrea Snyder
andreasnyder@mail.weber.edu

My name is Andrea Timko Snyder.  I was born and raised in a small town in Florida near the Ocala National Forest.  It was here, in the forests and boating on the lakes that I found my love of the outdoors.  Later, I discovered my great passion for helping those in need.  I started my life out as a nurse, but as I learned more about our society, I soon realized the field of Social Work was where I could be most effective.  I am a runner in my spare time (although I dont look like it right now) and I have completed 2 full marathons, 10 half marathons, and countless races at shorter distances.  My husband and I moved to Utah almost three years ago and absolutely love it here, in large part due to the multitude of outdoor activities available within a short distance from the Ogden area.  My chief goal in life is to make an impact on our world and our community for the better.

SCHOLARLY CHAIR
Kevin Rushforth
kevinrushforth@mail.weber.edu

Kevin is the Academic Chair of the Social Work Club and considers himself a Nerd by every definition of the word.  He is a proud Ravenclaw (Go Eagles) and finds great joy in academic attainment.  "Wit beyond measure is a mans greatest treasure".  When not in his native habitat (a library) Kevin can usually be found at home where he reads some more (he loves to read Harry Potter - if you havent figured that out yet) and binge watches Netflix on occasion.  He loves to learn and engage with others.  At Weber State, Kevin has seen first hand the power of service based learning, especially in Social Work.  He looks forward to a career in Social Work, especially in the political arena of social policy (weird we know).  He is extremely excited to be involved in the Social Work Club and hopes that it will be a great year for everyone involved.

TREASURER
Chantel Grasteit
chantelgrasteit@mail.weber.edu

My name is Chantel Grasteit, I started my journey at WSU in 2012 right out of High School.  Not exactly sure where I wanted to go but knew I wanted to work with children and families.  I changed my degree four times, I found Social Work and fell in love with the degree.  I will be graduating in the Spring of 2018 with my Bachelors Degree.  I look forward to being a part of the Social Work Club and serving as the Treasurer.  I'm very excited for this opportunity as I finish up my Senior year at WSU.

SOCIAL CHAIR
Amy Orr
amyorr@mail.weber.edu

My name is Amy and after 45 years I finally decided what I want to do when I grow up - be a Social Worker!  I am a mother of nine and a grandmother of one.  I am fun-loving and really love helping people.  After I graduate I plan on getting my masters and goin on to do great things.

SOCIAL CHAIR
Dominique Beauvais
dominiquebeauvais@mail.weber.edu

My name is Dominique Beauvais, I was born and raised in Vancouver Canada and I will be graduating with my Bachelors this Spring.  I came to Utah to pursue my tennis career as I was recruited onto the Woman's Tennis team in the Fall of 2014.  I have strong values and a passion towards social justice issues and the social work program has given me the tools to apply them in a practical way within the community.  After graduation, I plan on attending graduate school back home in Canada and working within the field of healthcare.  I am both honored and excited to be a part of this years Social Work Club.

DAVIS REPRESENTATIVES:
Lesa Landrith
lesalandrith@mail.weber.edu

My name is Lesa Landrith and I am a Senior majoring in Social Work and loving it!  I was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society last year. I currently work as a paralegal and have done so for the last 10 years.  I am a mediator on the court roster and I have done mediations for the last 9 years.  In my work as a mediator, and sometimes in my work as a paralegal I am able to help people.  Social Work excites me because I will be able to help people all of the time!  I am excited to serve as the Davis Liaison in the Social Work Club.
