Respiratory Therapy 

 

Weber State is among the few universities to offer a bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, preparing students to care for patients and save lives as Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT).

 

 


PROGRAM ACCEPTANCE

before you begin the Respiratory Therapy program, you need to know the following  


  • Step One:  Apply to WSU

    Acceptance into the Respiratory Therapy program is a a two step process:

    You must first be accepted to WSU.

    Then after meeting with the Admisisons Advisement office, you can apply for the Respiratory Therapy Program. 

    Transfer Students:  After acceptance into WSU, any student who has an AS and an RRT interested in completing a BS in Respiratory Therapy, can follw the link below to apply for the RT program that is right for you.

  • Step Two:

    Pre-Admission Advising


    Before applying to Weber State's Respiratory Therapy program, please schedule an appointment with one of our excellent Admissions Advisors to make sure you have met (or are on track to meet) all admission requirements.

    Until you are accepted into the Respiratory Therapy program, please visit our Dumke College of Health Professions Office of Admissions Advisement or contact their office at 801-626-6136 or healthprofessions@weber.edu.

    Complete all courses on the Respiratory Therapy Applicant Cheklist with a letter grade of C or higher. CR/NC is not acceptable for these courses.

  • Step Three:  Program Application


    The Respiratory Therapy program is not accepting applications at this time. The next application cycle will be for our Ogden cohort. The application will open December 28th.

    We highly recommend you meet with an Admission Advisor before applying to the program. An advising session will help to ensure that you are a qualified applicant. You may set an appointment by calling 801-626-6136.

    If you are a transfer or returning student with an AAS/AS and an RRT you should go to step one and use the provided application link.
