Accreditation

Along with Weber State's regional accreditation, our program is accredited by the The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

The mission of CoARC is to ensure that high-quality educational programs prepare graduates to be competent respiratory therapists with proficiency in practice, education, research and service.

CoARC publishes graduate students' outcomes for all programs on the CoARC website.

We offer CoARC Program # 200127, CoARC Program # 300029 and CoARC Program # 300030.

Weber State University Respiratory Therapy—CoARC 200127 (Ogden Cohort), 300029 (Davis Cohort), and 300030 (Farmington Cohort)—is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (www.coarc.com).

CoARC accredits respiratory therapy education programs in the United States. To achieve this end, it utilizes an ‘outcomes based’ process. Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the educational goals of the program are achieved and by which program effectiveness is documented.

Programmatic outcomes are performance indicators that reflect the extent to which the goals of the program are achieved and the program's effectiveness. The outcomes reported on the CoARC website are within a 3-year time period and include: CRT credentialing success; RRT credentialing success; achievement of the high cut score on the TMC Exam (beginning 2018); retention (attrition); job placement; overall graduate satisfaction; overall employer satisfaction; on-time graduation rate; total number of program enrollees; total number of program graduates; and maximum annual enrollment.
