2.0    POLICY

2.1    SHC Services

2.1.1    Health care services that are provided by the Weber State University Health Center are available for eligible WSU students enrolled for the semester in which they seek services. Limited exceptions apply to student eligibility, as noted on the SHC website. SHC will confirm eligibility before services are provided.

2.1.2    SHC medical staff generally provide basic medical care for common illnesses and injuries. Students with specialty medical needs may be referred to community resources.

2.1.3    Although students are not charged for provider visits, small fees apply for some services, such as certain laboratory test, x-ray, and pharmacy products.

2.1.4    The SHC does not bill or accept insurance. Payment for any fees incurred is due at the time of service.

2.1.5    The SHC is a student fee funded facility. Although SHC may permit faculty and staff to use the SHC a minimal fee is applied to provider visits and standard fees apply to other services. The SHC is not intended for use as the primary provider site for faculty and staff, including salaried employees who are also currently enrolled students.
