Application Instructions



Applicants are responsible for submitting a complete application. If your application is incomplete at the time of submission, it will be held until the missing items are submitted. Applicants may log on to their application portal to check which elements of their applications have been received.

Leveling Courses

After being accepted, students who have not graduated from an ABET-accredited Computer Engineering program will be required to show competency in the following areas:

Competency in these areas may be demonstrated by taking and passing the courses listed above with a grade of C or better. Students who have gained competency through industrial experience may be allowed to demonstrate it by taking and passing a competency exam.

Graduate Application - Transcripts and Test Scores

Graduate Applicants - send official transcripts of your academic record from all previous colleges or universities attended should be submitted along with any required test scores. For the fastest and most efficient transcript ordering experience, please order your official transcripts online through the National Student ClearinghousePlease request these documents to be sent directly to the Masters of Science Electrical Engineering Admissions Committee at

Application Deadlines

Applicants wishing to start in the Fall Semester must complete their applications on or before the first Friday in March. Applicants wishing to start in the Spring Semester must complete their applications on or before the first Friday in October.

Applicants who have not yet been admitted to the program may, with departmental permission, take up to two courses that will count toward their degree.

Please note that we do not admit applicants on a rolling basis. Completed applications are considered by the Admissions Committee only at meetings after each application deadline.
