The Role of Faculty Communication and Expectancy Violations in Shaping Student Disclosure

Professor Sarah Steimel and MPC student Robert Taylor have recently published research in the Utah Journal of Communication. Their article, titled “From Hesitation to Help-Seeking: The Role of Faculty Communication and Expectancy Violations in Shaping Student Disclosure,” explores how faculty communication impacts students’ willingness to seek help. Now through Friday, August 22, 2025, all those with a valid A permit may park in any of the A lots on campus with their permit. 

All parking lots except W4, W5 and W12 require a permit to park Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Meet Hailey Attanasio
MPC’s New Social Media Assistant
 

We’re excited to welcome Hailey Attanasio to the Master of Professional Communication (MPC) team! A recent Weber State graduate in Public Relations and Strategic Communication, Hailey is now starting her graduate studies in the MPC program.

With experience managing social media for Ogden Peak Communications, she brings a creative and professional edge to our team and will help grow MPC’s online presence.
