Spanish Highlights

Weber State’s Spanish program is almost entirely proficiency-driven. You’ll have the chance to learn from professors who have a variety of research interests, but are united by their extensive training in how to help you develop the reading, writing and speaking skills you need to excel in a Spanish-speaking future.

Beyond the Classroom

Weber State’s Spanish major offers yearly opportunities to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country, as well as internships and participation in the Spanish club and Spanish Honor Society.

Faculty Perspective

My favorite part of teaching Spanish at Weber State is interacting with our incredible mix of students, who have diverse firsthand experiences with Spanish at home and all over the world.

John Trimble

I am lucky to teach at Weber State: because our students are motivated to take their language skills to the next level, they are more engaging to teach, and I enjoy that.
