Studying Sound Production/Recording at Weber State
Weber State’s sound production/recording program gives students the opportunity to work closely with faculty,
small groups and solo on a wide variety of recording projects and live recording sessions with tangible outcomes.
Sound Production/Recording Highlights
This degree path offers small class sizes with faculty who are active in their fields. It features Alan Parsons’ “Art and Science of Sound Recording” curriculum with exclusive content to ensure student success after graduation. The program is also an AVID-Certified Learning Partner, McDSP Education Partner and offers Pro Tools User Certification.
Weber State offers the latest tools and technology and has a new recording studio opening in the fall of 2021.
Beyond the Classroom
Students wil work with faculty recording and editing live concerts both on site and remotely. This includes mixing live sound. Students will also have the chance to collaborate with student filmmakers and podcasters in post production.
