Application process

  1. Register at FIRSTinspires.org
  2. Create an account
  3.  Log in
  4. Select Event Volunteering
  5. Search for the Event you want to Volunteer at
  6. Complete your Volunteer Application

    Proceed to fill out the application

    Select up to 5 roles you would like to volunteer as. Drag and Drop into your preference. The top position being the most preferred position.
  7. Youth Protection Screening
  8. Consent Form


    Select your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. A menu will appear - choose "Consent & Release Form". Read the form and make sure check the box at the end of the page that says you have read the form.
  9.  (Last Step!) - Follow-up: Profile and Training



    After a few days, you will be able to see when your Youth Protection Screening has been completed. You will see a training available on this page from Schoology that you must take.

    The volunteer coordinator for the event will assign you a position after they receive your application and you will be notified when you're assigned. 

    Check your FIRST account after you have been assigned a position for your event. You may have other certifications or training that will need to be completed (depending on the position).
