High School Jumpstart

High School Jumpstart Competition is a business competition open to all students attending high school in the state of Utah (grades 9-12). Individuals or teams can submit entries. The competition fosters and promotes business growth at the high school level by giving students a chance to organize, direct, and present a business idea to a panel of expert judges.

Information Packet

To apply, fill out the registration form and upload a video. Videos can be basic by featuring the student or student team, providing a brief explanation of their business or idea. For rules and regulations, check out the full information packet. Questions? Email us at entrepreneurship@weber.edu.

Six finalists will be awarded $500 to all finalists. A cash prize of $5,000 will be awarded to the individual/team judged to have presented the most plausible and promising business idea or opportunity. Cash prizes of $1,300 will be awarded to the second through sixth place individuals/teams, respectively.
