Mission: 

The Center for Technology Outreach utilizes resources, partnerships, and faculty expertise to promote and recruit for the Engineering, Applied Science & Technology College, which benefits future learners, business, industry, education, government, and society through our commitment to offer high-quality programs and outreach.

 

Vision:

Offer high-quality programs, create meaningful experiences, promote community engagement, respect all persons and ideas, and promote greater access and opportunity for local community members and underrepresented populations to pursue and participate in Engineering, Applied Science and Technology K-12 programs.  Spring Afterschool Programs and Summer Camps registrations are open now. Ages: 11-14
September 16 - October 21, 2026
Wednesdays, 4:30-6pm
Cost: $50

Become a Wild Architect and discover how nature and engineering work hand in hand! In this exciting camp, students will design, build, and explore while learning how animals, plants, and the natural world inspire innovative architecture and engineering. Through hands-on challenges and outdoor adventures, participants will see how creativity, problem-solving, and the environment come together to shape the world around us.

 

Ages: 5-8
September 17 - October 13, 2026
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30pm-6:30 pm

In this course, your builder will begin their exploration into the world of robotics by building simple, animal-inspired machines that are controlled by icon-based program codes. We will teach your little learner some fundamental engineering and programming concepts as they build goofy animals and design and perfect habitats to protect their new robotic friends. Builds – Alligator, Bird, Cat, Elephant, Frog, Kangaroo, Giraffe, Robo Pup

Snapology’s Real World Robotics focuses on the real-life applications of robotics. In this
program, your engineer will explore the basics of robotics while building some amazing & helpful devices with their classmates!  Builds – A.I. Bot, Bascule Bridge, Color Detector, Earthquake Simulator, Mars Concept Rover, Multi-Sensory Alarm, Robotic Arm

June 7 – July 21, 2027

WSU PREP is a free 7-week summer camp designed to prepare incoming 7th-, 8th-, and 9th-grade students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by offering an accelerated curriculum that prepares them for high school and college.

 

Grades: 10-12
June 2027
Monday - Wednesday
9:00 am - 3:00 pm

This 7-week program provides two complimentary college courses in engineering and technology, featuring hands-on activities, tutoring, mentorship, and industry field trips.
