The Center for Technology Outreach utilizes resources, partnerships, and faculty expertise to promote and recruit for the Engineering, Applied Science & Technology College, which benefits future learners, business, industry, education, government, and society through our commitment to offer high-quality programs and outreach.

 

Vision:

Offer high-quality programs, create meaningful experiences, promote community engagement, respect all persons and ideas, and promote greater access and opportunity for local community members and underrepresented populations to pursue and participate in Engineering, Applied Science and Technology K-12 programs.  Spring Afterschool Programs and Summer Camps registrations are open now. In this Star Wars-inspired program, your padawan will explore the basics of robotics by building machines inspired by their favorite parts of the movies. Builds – Space Jaws, Force Detector, Space Rover, Space Chase, Droid Hand, Planetary Defense, X Wing, AT-AT

This five-week STEM + Music camp allows students to explore the science and creativity behind sound through hands-on projects that blend physics, engineering, and technology. Understand sound waves and build homemade instruments, and then record and produce music using digital tools. By the end, campers will showcase their custom-made instruments and digital tracks in a performance for family and friends.

Do you think your child can build the strongest and most agile robot? Can their robot win a head-to head combat mission? Your child will discover basic strategies for building sturdy structures and then apply that knowledge to build a robot for friendly competition.

WSU PREP is a free 7-week summer camp designed to prepare incoming 7th-, 8th-, and 9th-grade students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by offering an accelerated curriculum that prepares them for high school and college.

This 7-week program provides two complimentary college courses in engineering and technology, featuring hands-on activities, tutoring, mentorship, and industry field trips.

Build and take home your own mini robotic car in this one-day camp at WSU's Davis campus.  Spend the day building your very own mini robotic car and take it home with you at the end of the camp. Along the way, you'll learn the basics of mechanics and how vehicles work, all while having fun with hands-on projects! Lunch and T-shirt provided.

Build and take home your own model V8 Engine in this one-day camp at WSU's Davis campus. Whether you're an aspiring mechanic or just curious about how things work under the hood, this camp is the perfect place to ignite your passion for engineering. Lunch and T-shirt provided.
