EAST AI Innovation Initiative (AIII)
The EAST AI Innovation Initiative (AIII, or A-triple-I) supports students, faculty, staff, and community members who wish to become proficient in AI technology, tools, and applications. AIII highlights useful AI-related resources and collaborates in the development of new AI-related resources.
AI Events & Opportunities
AI Hackathon
The Weber State University AI Hackathon invites students and professionals from Weber State and the wider community to build AI-powered tools in a short sprint. The competition is open to everyone regardless of technical ability and offers generous prizes to the most innovative and impactful software.
Data Science Summer Internship Program
The School of Computing offers scholarships for student internships during the summer. These internships are joint projects with industry partners, and often involve work in data science, machine learning, data analytics, or data engineering.
2D Summer Video Gaming Camp (Grades 9-12)
The week-long training camp will focus on using a game development tool to build video games. At the end of the week, participants will showcase their projects for judging and winners will receive prizes. This camp will feature material on AI for video games.
WEBCats Summer Camp (Ages 13-15)
Join the Wildcats for a week of hands-on learning, where you'll dive into the basics of HTML and CSS, build your very own website from scratch, and sharpen your skills in user experience and creative design thinking. This camp will feature material on AI for video games.
