Dean Certifications

A Dean’s Certification is an official document often requested during graduate, medical, or law school applications, as well as job background checks. It allows a university to confirm an applicant's disciplinary record and state whether they faced any disciplinary action during their time as a student. Per internal process, the Dean of Students Office only reports information regarding probation, deferred suspension, suspension, or expulsion.

If you need a Dean’s Certification from Weber State, contact the Dean of Students Office. We can only release information about your educational record to third parties with your written permission. If the third party does not provide you with a Release of Information form to fill out, please contact us for one.

Please provide us with your name, W#, dates of attendance, any forms you need filled out, and releases of information. Common turnaround time is 1-3 business days.
