STEM Craft Night - Density Bead Bottles

Join us for a hands-on construction of a density bead bottle, the perfect companion for your desk and as an anchor phenomenon useful in a range of classrooms.

Here's our example, and here's a commercial example.

You'll learn how to construct these, create variations (of course, you can choose your own colors!), AND how to lead others in their construction and modeling. We'll supply the materials so you can have one to take back with you, custom-made to your specifications. Light dinner provided as well!

Teacher Twilight: AI lesson planning? Using robots for curriculum development

Machine learning now comes in lots of packages and has lots of potential uses, many of which are suggesting ideas to us anytime we have a screen in front of us. Lesson plans are no exception, and many of us have dipped our toes into this system where curriculum plans can be aggregated from lots of ideas and distilled down into something we might be able to use. But should we? And what's the best way to do this? We'll provide a few examples, the good and the bad, and see what the robots can (and can't) do for us.

Light dinner provided! RSVP in advance.
