WHY THE MASTER OF TAXATION

My professors made taxation interesting and engaging. They illuminated the possibility for creativity and problem-solving in something as seemingly dry as tax.

What stands out to me are the connections I made with my professors and classmates.

PROFESSOR IMPACT

The accounting and taxation professors are across the board fabulous, but Darcie Costello stands out in particular. She was so generous with her time, advice, and expertise. She is also just a really fun person to talk with, and she clearly cares so much about her students as people.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE STUDENTS

Talk to your professors. They take teaching seriously and are there to help you. Also, take advantage of the numerous opportunities for professional development.

WHAT'S NEXT

I started a position as a tax associate at Richey May in January. With my first busy season now complete, I look forward to continuing in this role and learning even more!

GRATITUDE

I'd like to thank my parents, Ron and Colleen, and my boyfriend, Kris, who support me in everything I do. I'm truly lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. I'd also like to thank Brent Pullen, who first got me interested in tax and is a great mentor and friend.
