Business Administration, April 2026
WHY WEBER STATE
Weber State was one of the few universities with an accredited business program, which was important to me since it would make my degree more valuable.
WHY BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
I chose Business Administration because I wanted a broad and flexible degree, which would allow me to explore a wide variety of career opportunities after graduation.
After 15 years in the workforce, I knew I didn’t want to feel stuck again — I wanted something that gave me the freedom to choose an industry. And since working internationally has always been important to me, I wanted a degree that would hold value no matter where life takes me.
DEDICATION TO STUDENTS
What stands out most to me about my time at Weber State was the dedication from both professors and staff to support me as a student. I don’t think there was a single time when I felt let down, and I’ll always appreciate that.
PROFESSOR IMPACT
A lot of Goddard professors left a lasting impression on me — some academically, some personally, and some because they were just genuinely hilarious (shoutout to Thue and Amos!). But the most important person along my academic journey was Rachel Child. Her support and guidance showed up in ways that made all the difference, and I cannot thank her enough for everything she did for me.
ADVICE FOR FUTURE STUDENTS
- Be bold, take risks, and don’t be too shy to ask for help. You’ll get the utmost support from staff and faculty.
- Take advantage of all the resources that Weber State offers to help you succeed as a student. Mentors and tutors across campus helped me a lot throughout my time at Weber State.
- Don’t procrastinate. The more you stay on top of things, the easier your academic and personal life will be.
- Meet people and build connections. The more people you know – and the more people know you – the better.
- Don't forget to have fun and enjoy the journey!
WHAT'S NEXT
I plan to use my business and construction degree to work in the construction industry. My goal is to become a project manager one day.
GRATITUDE
I would like to start by thanking my mom for making this all possible and supporting me throughout this adventure — all 5,185 miles and 8 hour time difference away from home.
And I would like to thank my husband for being so patient and supportive, especially during finals. I know it wasn’t always easy – but we made it :).
