Effective July 1, 2026, Weber State University will be transitioning our dental and vision insurance administration to Ameritas. If you are happy with your current coverage type, you will be automatically mapped to the equivalent Ameritas plan, which will go into effect July 1. If you'd like to make changes to your coverage, you can do so during open enrollment, April 13 - May 8. Learn more about this change.
EMI Dental Insurance
Weber State University has contracted with EMI Health to administer dental insurance. If you choose dental coverage, Weber State pays 80% of the premium.
Features of dental coverage include:

80% coverage of dental procedures &
50% coverage of prosthetics to a
maximum of $2,000 per person per year. -
50% coverage of orthodontic
charges to a maximum of
$1,500 per person per lifetime. -
You may choose any dentist,
but reasonable and customary dental charges
will be identified for specific procedures.
EMI Health Dental Insurance Rates
These rates are only for faculty/staff who are .75 FTE or greater. If you are less than .75 FTE, contact HR for the rates.
