ALEKS Placement, Preparation & Learning

Log into your eWeber Portal.

Search for and select the ALEKS Access app.

Follow the prompts to enroll.

• If you have previously enrolled in ALEKS at another institution, please answer “no” to the question that asks if you have an ALEKS username. This will establish a new ALEKS account specifically linked to your Weber State student profile.
• If you have previously used ALEKS while going to school at Weber State, email devmath@weber.edu for instructions on how to re-enroll in ALEKS.

Take your first assessment at the Stewart Library Testing Center or Davis Campus Testing Center.

• Valid photo identification required (Wildcard ID or government issued photo ID).
• Calculators are not allowed, but scratch paper will be provided.
• Students living more than 50 miles from a WSU testing site can email devmath@weber.edu or jaegerschuelke@weber.edu to get information on how to take a proctored distance exam.
• Proctored scores will post to your student profile within 48 hours of taking your assessment.

After you have taken your first assessment, customized learning modules will be developed. You can use these learning modules to study and practice as much as you can/need before taking your next assessment.

You will be required to work in the learning modules a minimum of 3 hours between each assessment.  You will also need to wait at least 24 hours between attempts.

Students can take up to 4 more assessments. All additional assessments must be taken at the Davis Testing Center, Stewart Library Testing Center, or via distance proctoring, if approved.

We will always use the highest, unexpired ALEKS placement score to determine which class you should take.

If you have taken all five assessments and would like to continue working in ALEKS to improve your placement, email devmath@weber.edu to get instructions on how to renew your account. Students can enroll in ALEKS a total of four times (initial enrollment + three renewals).

Using your ALEKS score as a guide, register for the class you have placement for.  Please make sure you are taking a math class in the math path you need to complete for your major.
