MHA Program News

A Welcome Change

The Master of Health Administration Program will move to Weber State Farmington Station in the fall of 2020. This new location will provide easy access to classes as well as an impressive array of amenities and shopping opportunities found at Station Park. The program format will remain unchanged. Courses are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The Executive MHA Program has been recently been altered to provide even more flexibility to working healthcare professionals. Almost all of the program is now online, with one in-person orientation at the beginning of fall semester. Find out more about this program!

Annual Case Competition

The Department of Health Administrative Services will host its annual Health Administration Case Competition Nov. 16. The competition is for both graduate students and undergraduate students. Each member of the winning graduate team will receive a scholarship. Judges will also select an all-star graduate team based on individuals’ performance in the competition. The Master of Health Administration Program will provide sponsorship for the all-star team at a national case study competition.

Study Abroad

The MHA Program is continuing its tradition of study abroad trips to Sweden and Finland. Students will travel to these countries in May of 2020 to gain a broader understanding of their healthcare systems and also experience the cultures. MHA program director Darcy Carter and HAS department chair Pat Shaw are leading the program and are excited to guide the trip.
