Michael Johnson is a net positive visionary and sustainability professional, whose decades long career path has led him from environmental restoration fieldwork and social entrepreneurialism to corporate executive leadership. In various roles as Founder and CEO, Director of Sustainability, and Chief Impact Officer, he brings real world context and practical solutions to individuals and organizations seeking to have net positive impact. He is a passionate advocate for meaningful, immediate and authentic actions to address the climate crisis, and to create a healthy and vibrant future.  

Mike’s understanding of how commerce is a powerful force in the balance of planet, people and economy has enabled his sustainability initiatives to grow from start-up level to industry-recognized, leading edge in various organizations. From carbon management and diversity, equity, and inclusion, to life cycle assessment and materials transparency, he has implemented full scale sustainability platforms.  He is a founding member of the Living Product 50, whose members seek to bring independently-verified net positive products to market.  

As an award-winning sustainability visionary and accredited continuing education provider, Mike has enjoyed countless invitations for keynote and guest speaking engagements from professional organizations, industry conferences, universities, and TV, radio and online media channels.   

On days off, you’re likely to find him telemark skiing, mountain biking, hiking, trail running, kitesurfing, or climbing, reconnecting his wild side to wild places.
