Cara has worked for the Redevelopment Agency (RDA) of Salt Lake City since 2014. Cara's background is in environmental engineering and before shifting to work in local government, she was an environmental consultant addressing sites with contaminated soil and groundwater. Cara's engineering background draws her to infrastructure projects like daylighting urban creeks and designing new public improvements, but she also loves working with her teammates to find ways for the RDA's work to lead to a more sustainable and equitable city. She feels fortunate to have been a part of the team that created the RDA's Sustainable Development Policy and is looking forward to seeing the changes that come out of it!
