Vijay has over 12 years of experience in power system and grid design, transmission planning and policy, and renewable energy integration. He is currently serving as  Sr. Policy Analyst with Western Resource Advocates and actively engaged in regional electricity market expansion, decarbonization efforts, and regional transmission expansion. Vijay has an extensive engagement in not only regional electricity market and reliability initiatives but also other western state level policy and regulatory proceedings that focus on grid de-carbonization and cost-effective integration of clean energy resources. Prior work experience includes four years as Sr. Policy Advisor at WECC and seven years of prior work experience working in the public interest domain with the Oregon Department of Energy  (ODOE) on policy and planning issues around energy resources and transmission and energy siting infrastructure.
