More Grad Finale Information

• Can’t Attend Grad Finale?

  Starting April 5, you will be able to order your graduation cap, gown and other accessories online at wildcatstores.com. Your items will still be free but you will have to pay for shipping. In order to have your items shipped to you, you must place your order by April 17.

  If you submit your graduation application later than the April 17, you remain eligible to receive your cap, gown, and other accessories. However, you must complete the order through the Wildcat Store's online portal at wildcatstores.com. Select the Ogden campus Wildcat Store as your designated pickup location.

• Veterans

  You can receive a veteran stole at Grad Finale if you are graduating with a two-year or four-year degree. If you are unable to attend but would like the stole, contact Veterans Services at militaryaffiliated@weber.edu.

• Departmental Honor Medallions

  Departmental honor medallions to be worn at graduation are given out by individual departments at WSU and are for students that have enrolled in, and are now graduating from, the WSU Honors Program. Medallions can be picked up at the Honors Center in the Stewart Library, Room 324.

• Graduating with GPA Honors

  Graduating with honors is based on a student’s cumulative Weber State University grade point average and is indicated in the commencement program, diploma and transcript. 

  Students who qualify for GPA honors at graduation may pick up an honor cord with their cap and gown at Grad Finale. Students belonging to a private or national honor society should contact the honor society concerning any academic regalia.

  There are no GPA honors for master’s degrees or certificates. Contact the Honors Program for additional information.

  GPA Honor Categories
  All students graduating with GPA honors receive the same purple and white cord regardless of which category you are in.

  Bachelor's Degrees

  • Summa Cum Laude: GPA of 3.9 or higher
  • Magna Cum Laude: GPA of 3.8 or higher
  • Cum Laude: GPA of 3.6 or higher

  Associate's Degrees

  • High Honors: GPA of 3.85 or higher
  • Honors: GPA of 3.6 or higher
