Dianna Abel

Dianna AbleA native of southern California, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. I completed my Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology at the University of Utah and I am a licensed psychologist. Most of my training and my entire professional career has centered around college mental health. I have worked at the Weber State University Counseling and Psychological Services Center since 1998, as the Director since 2004. While most of my current job is administrative in nature, I still enjoy some clinical work. I integrate interpersonal, humanistic, and feminist approaches, and I like to work with many of the developmental issues common to the college student experience, including identity, self-esteem, relationships, gender, and culture. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working on home-improvement projects, walking, and watching live theater, especially musicals.
