Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the cost of the Ed pass?
There is no annual fee for the UTA Ed pass. For the academic year 2014-2015 the pass is free. To replace a lost card is $50. To replace damaged cards is free provided you turn in the damaged card.

  • What is included in the services provided by the Ed pass?
With the UTA Ed pass you have access to all the UTA system provides, including buses, the Front Runner and Trax. All routes, excluding the ski resort routes, are available to you whether it is for school purposes or not.

  • Do I have to renew my pass?
Yes, each year you will need to renew the original pass before the beginning of each fall term in order for that card to remain active.

  • How do I delete a transaction? I picked the wrong option, or don’t want to pay for a pass anymore.
There are no refunds, if you’ve made a payment, you should pick up your card and use it when needed (or if you’re reactivating a card) it will be reactivated and there is no option to reverse the transaction

However, if you realize that you made the wrong selection in the second drop down, all you have to do is click delete to cancel the transaction. If you chose the ‘Pay later’ option and already submitted the request, you can still go in and delete it, as long as you do it before payment has been made.
