Utah Residents

As Utah resident, you pay the same tuition as if you were taking your classes on-campus. 

For information on WSU tuition, student fees, and estimated cost of books, visit the WSU Costs & Deadlines web page (be sure to click on the Tuition & Fees link on the left tool bar for current information per semester).  You will also find information at that site on payment deadlines and payment plans.

The following is a miscellaneous list of costs associated with CLS classes and graduation from WSU.

CLT & CLS prg. application fees

$40

Lab fees ($10/credit hr/CLS class)

$120 per semester

Lab coat, supplies, safety glasses

$40

National registry exam fees (ASCP)

$175 MLT(CLT) exam

WSU Graduation fee (AAS or BS)

$30

 

 


Nonresidents

As an out-of-state non-resident online student, online tuition is based on a flat per credit hour fee and is comparable to resident in state tuition.  For information on concerning the cost of taking online classes, visit the WSU Online course tuition web page. You will also find information at that site on payment deadlines and payment plans.

In addition to the university's scholarship and financial aid programs, the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences provides the following scholarships to assist students in achieving their educational goals:

  • The Larson CLS Scholarship for Baccalaureate Degree Students
  • The Ann Hackelman Scholarship
  • CLS Scholarship
  • The Utah Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences in association with ARUP Scholarship
  • The Alpha Mu Tau Fraternity Scholarship in association with American Society for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (ASCLS)
