Accreditation

Weber State University's Clinical Laboratory Sciences on-campus and online programs are accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).

NAACLS is committed to being the premier international agency for accreditation and approval of educational programs in the clinical laboratory sciences and related health professions through the involvement of expert volunteers and its dedication to public service.

National Registry Board Examinations

There are two national agencies that administer registry board exams to our students: National Credentialing Agency (NCA) and American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Registry. As a CLT or CLS student, you may choose to take either exam, or both if you can afford the cost.

You are eligible to sit for the registry exam(s) after completing graduation with your AAS CLT degree and again after completing graduation with your BS CLS degree.

Three months prior to graduation, you should start the application process by visiting the Web sites below. Check with the CLS department for the proper school code for each agency.
