Education and Empowerment Programs

Quick Exit The Women's Center's Education & Empowerment programming focuses on responding to the needs and interests of students, with an emphasis on providing gender equity and social justice education. We accomplish this through monthly events that include Sister Circles, workshops, film screenings, and discussions on issues relating to gender, race, sexuality, class, ability, and power dynamics.

We work to refer students to resources that they need in relation to their marginalized identities, use our social media platforms to increase educational opportunities, spread awareness on social issues and provide a safe space on campus with a media lending library to facilitate liberatory educational opportunities. All of our programs are used to bring awareness to and prevent social injustices in our community, as well as empower and strengthen those most marginalized by systems of power, oppression, and privilege.

If you are interested in volunteering for any of these events, please email us at womenscenter@weber.edu.
