Designing for Go-Live: Implementation Lessons From a Salesforce Education Cloud Launch

Our institution recently implemented Salesforce Education Cloud to modernize recruitment and admissions processes. At the time of this conference, we will be approximately three months post go live, allowing us to share timely and candid lessons from implementation and the early stages of adoption.

This session focuses on the decisions that mattered most, including how we structured teams to balance daily operations with implementation work, the importance of clearly defining ownership, and why a phased go live approach reduced risk and supported staff readiness. We will also discuss training and change management realities that only became clear once real users and applications entered the system, along with what we would do differently if starting again.

Evolution of the ML Ecosystem

This session tells the story of Weber's "graduation after 90 credit hours" model that over the course of its development took us from black box machine learning in 3rd party software to a warehouse-integrated ML ecosystem running in python code written in-house.
