Red Barn Academy is a nonprofit organization and lifestyle skills academy that aims to improve the lives of men who have been incarcerated and are navigating addiction and homelessness through education, vocational training and essential resources. (Learn how Weber State's collaborative work directly impacts Red Barn students in "How Upskilling Can Change Your Life.")

Taught by longtime Weber State professor Tim Border, this course focused on developing the basics of customer-centric service by tackling key aspects of modern sales strategies. Students focused on developing essential traits for success, mastering the buying and selling cycles and perfecting skills like prospecting, identifying needs and overcoming objections.

Business Development Manager Holly Suisse met Red Barn Academy’s Corporate Development Manager Justin Hoaglin at the 2024 Davis Business Expo. After discussing the success of the recently completed Supply Chain Management course, the conversation led to what other industry and professional needs could be addressed for Red Barn’s participants.
