National Parks
The national parks and monuments of the western United States (www.nps.gov) are among the most beautiful places on Earth. I have visited almost every park, monument, and national recreation area in the western U.S.– more than 70 to date– hiking, camping or backpacking in most. In addition, I have spent some time in the spectacular parks of both western and eastern Canada (www.pc.gc.ca).
International
For the past 20 years I have traveled extensively abroad, especially in Europe, pursuing art, music, architecture, hiking and biking when I can, and enjoying local food, wine and beer. Fantastic experiences, and not a single cruise ship or organized tour group!
