JENNIFER
business administration (current student)

The Goddard School is unique in the way that it prepares its students. Aside from providing enriching courses, it allows for students to become involved. Students can join clubs pertaining to or outside of their majors!

WHY WEBER STATE?

I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. I attended Ogden High School, where I got the opportunity to enroll at the OWATC during my sophomore year. I completed their business program and wanted to further the knowledge that I acquired. This desire motivated me to enroll in Weber State’s early college during my senior year of high school so that I could start my business degree as soon as possible. This experience convinced me that staying close to home was Ideal. I continued my education at Weber State so that I could work towards a degree in business while being close to home and my support system.

WHY BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION?

I decided to major in business administration because of the endless range of opportunities that it has to offer. I wanted to learn about all business aspects instead of focusing on one. Business concepts caught my attention when I was in high school. I knew the business field was a right fit because I’d be able to contribute in multiple areas.

INCREDIBLE ACCESS

ACTIVITIES

Being involved in AWE (Achieving Women's Excellence) has allowed me to meet like-minded individuals while achieving a common goal. Thus far, the experience has brought me closer leaders in the Goddard School.

ADVICE

I’d recommend for future students to give it their all. Great things take time. It’ll be challenging, but it’ll also be worth it. I’d also recommend reaching out to professors during their office hours for additional assistance. Many are so willing to help and answer questions!

FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT OGDEN / WSU

The Goddard School is unique in the way that it looks and is structured. Classrooms have a capacity of about 40 students. A majority of classrooms are located in the basement and have a horseshoe table setup. The main floor houses department offices, career services, advising services, and tutoring services. The building is hard to miss with its classy, glass structure.
