Studying Respiratory Therapy at Weber State
Weber State is among the few universities to offer a bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy, preparing students to care for patients and save lives as certified respiratory therapists.
Respiratory Therapy Highlights
Weber State is the country’s largest baccalaureate school for respiratory therapy. While other programs only offer an associate’s degree, an increasing number of employers are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree.
Weber State offers respiratory therapy courses in three locations:
- Weber State University’s main campus in Ogden
- Weber State University Davis in Layton
- Salt Lake City
Beyond the Classroom
As a respiratory therapy major, you’ll gain practical experience in caring for patients through internships with hospitals and clinics across the Wasatch Front.
You can also participate in Weber State’s annual study abroad trip to Ghana, where you’ll gain experience as a healthcare provider and learn side by side with local practitioners.
Class of 2003
“The respiratory therapy program at Weber State has been instrumental in my life and the lives of thousands that I have cared for over the course of my career. It has given me the opportunity to work, but also be a ‘mostly’ stay-at-home mom. Now, as my kids are older, it is allowing me to further advance my career by obtaining my master’s degree. Best decision ever!”
