Create a Study Group
Tips for Creating Your Own Study Group
Study groups are a great way to work on your math homework; in fact, they are a good thing for any class. We welcome you to find fellow students in your class and meet in one of our tutoring centers for your study group. You can get the benefits of study groups and tutoring at the same time.Meet at the same time every week. Meet for hour sessions; marathon sessions are not good for long term memory retention. Come to the sessions with your homework as complete as possible, so that you can bring issues and questions. If you do do your homework at the session, work over the same sections at the same time, and then check your work against the others' work.
Quiz each other on vocabulary and steps for certain types of problems. Go over your notes and see if every one interpreted class the same way.
When You Are in Class
Sit in the first or second row of the classroom, and make sure to ask good questions. Students do better when they are interacting with the material.Solution Space
