Sandi Weber

My name is Sandi K. Weber, and I am your Weber State Nontraditional Senator. I am a junior majoring in Human Resources as well as a 32-year-old single mother of two. I am from nearby Roy, Utah and have truly found a home here at Weber State!

I recently completed my Associate of Arts with honors this past spring. I also served as Community Chair with WSUSA’s Center for Diversity and Unity. I was also honored to be a recipient of the Rising Star scholarship as a nontraditional student. I am so thankful for those who understand the need and value of higher education as well as their belief in me.

During my term as senator, I would like to see several additions implemented. I would like to work on having students fees contribute to activities that attract the variety of students Weber State educated, including nontraditional students. It is important to me that every student has opportunities for involvement that meet their interests. This will best be done in developing an array of activities and programs. Lastly, I want to educate the student body and what resources are available to them. Unique challenges face those who are over 25, married, and/or have children. By getting involved, developing a strong support system, pursuing specialized counseling, and valuable resources, you increase your chances of success.

As your Senator, I want to get to know you and your concerns. It is through your ideas for improvement and change that Weber State can continue to grow and exceed our expectations. Throughout the semester, you will be able to locate me on a regular basis in the Nontrad Center. I would like to set up time for regular discussions which will allow your needs to be heard. More information will be available shortly in the center as well as on our Facebook page. I look forward to having you involved!

He is currently working on two novels, which he hopes, dear God, will be finished this spring (first draft, anyway). If you have any other inquiries into the character of this legend of a man, he would direct you to his lawyer: Saul Goodman. Note: that lawyer bit is a joke. I can’t afford a lawyer. Or the dentist. And I need to see the dentist.
