The WSU Clinical Laboratory Sciences programs are organized into a "ladder" format, with the four-year curriculum divided into two programs.

The Clinical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technician program comprises the first two years of the program. If you apply, are accepted into, and graduate from the CLT/MLT program, you will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree. You are then eligible to sit for national certification examinations and enter the workforce. The average starting salary for a clinical laboratory technician is $31,200.

If you wish to continue on for a four-year degree, you must apply and be accepted into the Bachelor of Science Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technology program (CLS/MT).
