There is not a “pre-medical major” at any college or university; rather, you select a major in any discipline (such as clinical laboratory sciences, zoology, chemistry, or any other broad field) and then take the courses that medical schools require of undergraduates.
WSU provides pre-medical curricula, advising and research experiences designed to aid students in preparing for medical school, and these students have had many successes: Over the past five years, WSU student acceptance into medical schools has averaged 62 percent, significantly above the national average.
